In each volume author Richard Johnson takes one of the Lodge offices and gives clear practical advice to those taking on this role for the first time. Each book also serves as a handy reference guide to the role for the more experienced officers. The Director of Ceremonies volume also contains useful advice for the Assistant Director of Ceremonies. The Director of Ceremonies role is vital in a Lodge to ensure that everything that happens in a lodge meeting and at the subsequent meal is performed exactly as it should be.
