Royal Arch Matters
Roy wells has produced an excellent booklet on the symbolism of the Royal Arch, which will be of great value to newly exalted members of Royal Arch, seeking additional information about the order. The book throws light on a number of issues that tend to be obscured by the formalised language of the ritual such as the platonic solids and their relation to the four elements, the jewel of the order, the colours of the veils and the possible origins of the triple tau. Also of interest is a section on opening and closing a chapter, putting these ceremonies into a historical context that gives otherwise dry rituals added value. Although only a brief outline is given of the topics covered by this book, it is accessible informative and hard to put down. This book will also serve well as material for a five or ten minute talk at the end of the regular business of the chapter.
