    Clive frequently lectures on English Masonic history, not just in London and the Home Counties but around the UK and sometimes overseas. Brethren have also delivered his printed talks in many different countries around the world; some having been translated in to Danish, French and Portuguese. 


    Initiated in 1992 he is an active London and West Kent Freemason and in addition to his UK Masonry he is also an honorary member of the Sit Lux Lodge of Masonic Research in Denmark. He was the Cornwallis Lecturer for the Provinces of Kent in 2008; and was for some years the Provincial Grand Orator for West Kent. At one time he was the Membership Secretary for the Correspondence Circle attached to the Quatuor Coronati Lodge of Masonic Research; he is currently an Executive Committee member of the Association of Atholl Lodges and a Patron of the Kent Museum of Freemasonry.
