  • THE AUTHOR
    Albert B Rother

Albert was initiated into Aurora Lodge No 4047, Leeds, in 2016. He is also a member of the United Arts Rifles Lodge No 3817, the Brazilian Lodge in London.

Albert Beauregard Rother is not a birth name, but a pen name. It has been customary in some Masonic circles, either out of necessity or for symbolic purposes, for a brother to take on a Symbolic or Historic Name. Indeed, in the Adonhiramite Rite, upon being initiated, the newly-made brother is given a name for him to be known by from then on. The name is traditionally chosen by the proposer and is meant to be aspirational in nature.

The name Albert Beauregard Rother was chosen for the symbolism of its parts and the whole. It reflects Albert’s own aspiration with life in general, and Freemasonry in particular; with the hope of proving himself worthy of that name.

Who Albert really is isn’t really that relevant. A B Rother is a brother like any other, one who strives to display Brotherly Love, Relief and Truth in everything he does and writes.
